I said I’d post pics!
This bag was made with a pattern I designed. There was an awesomely cute bag at my LYS, but it was knitted, so I used it as inspiration. I’m going to attempt another one, and tweak the pattern as I go along – in hopes of getting it as close to the inspiration bag as possible (and I’ll post the pattern when it’s ready!)
I made ANOTHER bag this week – I stitched it up last night and felted it. This is probably the most % of shrinkage I’ve ever
allowed experienced. I like how thick the bag is, really… It was just shocking to see it go from such a large bag to… well, I really like it. It’s still drying, so there aren’t any pics to share yet.
I think I’m addicted to felting tho! A girl can’t have too many bags, right? I mean, I need at least 2 during the week, plus 2 on the weekend, not including my purse!
I sewed a bag to use out in service, but I have a feeling it’ll be replaced with a felted tote in the not-too-distant future 😉
Oh, I whipped up a scarf using Frenzy. It was my first time working with it – or any kind of “fru fru” yarn (yanno, the fuzzy, fluffy, hairy, eyelash-y yarn). I kinda like working with it.
My shawl is still coming along. As strong as the urge to start a new project is – I am trying to resist until I finish my shawl. I’m almost through the second skein, and I’m not sure if it’ll be long enough, so I’m really glad I set aside 3 skeins.
Oh, and can you believe this – I have 5 storage totes Jam Packed with yarn – all kinds of yarn (not to mention large wicker basket overflowing with my simply soft yarn) – I was looking for off-white yarn. I couldn’t find a single skein of off white yarn!!!!!!!!
How in the world can I say to DH, “um, honey, (giggle)… Uh, there is actually a skein of yarn that I don’t have! (sheepish smile)” That wouldn’t go over too well!
Anyway – my dog and my daughters decided to get up EXTRA early today – like 4 hours early. It’s going to be a long day – more crocheting time, right? Yeah, we’ll see. 😀
