This week, so far…

This week was a 1/2 day school week.  We have a two-day assembly this weekend, and I always like to sew new things for the girls and I to wear.  I made myself a skirt and shirt (that’s a first for me!) and I made a skirt and dress for Face.  Flower Picker was in […]

Sew N Show

I wanted to show off the dress-up dresses I made for the girls last month. Nothing fancy, but they don’t seem to care!

Stone Soup, Anyone?

A friend of mine, who works at our local library, is reading the book, Stone Soup, to a group of small children. She said she’d love to have props on hand as she read the story, so my son and I crocheted her some vegetables for her Stone Soup. We made: tomato peas green beans radish […]

Many Tanks!

Yay! I’ve just finished up my oldest DD’s tank top. DH says it’s too wide, so I see some altering in my future, but she loves it! She loves the color — which is awesome, since she is the one that picked it out. She loves how it feels against her skin (Another Yay!) I’ll be starting […]

Sock-cess!!

After scouring the internet for the PERFECT sock pattern, adding a TON of them to my Ravelry queue, and attempting 90% of them, I have finally experienced the success and JOY that comes with making a pair of socks! That’s right — I crocheted my socks, using this pattern. I’ve just ordered more sock yarn, […]

I got a peaceful, easy feelin’…

For the past few weeks, it’s felt like everything I touch, relating to yarn, was turning to carp! I went to Hobby Lobby the other day, bound and determined to make something for myself! I think I was hit with severe sticker shock! I can’t remember the last time I had gone ‘general’ yarn shopping. 6 […]

Put one on the Barbie…

I’m not a Barbie fan… not at all. However, my daughters love Barbie! My youngest DD had a Barbie in need of some new duds, so I scoured the internet, to find a pattern. Here’s the end result — DD is happy, and now, we have one less nakee Barbie around here!

Tanked!!!

Alrighty — I finished the tank top for my youngest DD! Here it is: It looks boxy here, but it’s not really that boxy IRL — I inadvertently caused a taper while working the back part. It looks really great, and the recipient is extremely happy with it. I must say, I am, too!
