    Chocolate Week!

We chose Chocolate as our Unit Study this week!

I just loved how much the kids enjoyed this. The science and the history (and the tastes) associated with Chocolate proved very interesting!

We read stories about the Rain Forest, since that’s where the Cacao Tree grows, handled REAL cocoa butter, and learned about how chocolate bars are made.
My daughters can easily recognize & read HERSHEY’s on a label now!

We also did blind taste tests using a bag of Hershey’s miniatures.

Here are my girls taste testing:

Here is my youngest DD’s Chocolate Lapbook:

Although Hands of A Child has a Chocolate Lapbook project pack, I put this one together on my own.

We topped off our study with watching Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory and baking Peanut Butter Blossoms.
