Thanks to alot of nice ladies' input, I was able to put the finishing touches on the outfit, and finished it this morning!
I had *alot* of trouble w/ the pattern, because it wasn't written very well. And the romper wasn't originally long enough in the waist to cover the diaper. I was using the vintage pattern for the Annie's Attic Debbie Ann crochet doll. It said the outfit fit 16"-18" soft sculpture dolls, but ...
It barely covered the Cabbie's bottom w/o the diaper. So, after tweaking here and there, and then the applique - that was fun. It took longer to hunt down a pattern online than it did to make and attach it, so I *really* like that part!
I'm very happy with the end result. I just hope my swap partner loves it as much as I do... cuz now, I need to make one for one of my Cabbage Patch Kids, LOL!
