Well, I offi­cially feel like reheated dog­gie doo!

Yup — I think I have the flu. I’ve been for­tu­nate enough to have escaped Mr. Influenza for the past 4 years, but I think I owe this bout to dear old hubby!

He was snif­fling and con­gested all last week, and I told him that, in order for him to feel bet­ter, he had to give his sick­ies to some­one else. Next time, I will be sure to spec­ify who NOT to give it to!

Any­way — I decided to cro­chet some squares for a friend’s Afghan last night, but I’m not sure they are gift-worthy. Again, I can attribute that to this flu!

I was hop­ing to fin­ish them this week­end and spend more time on my mom’s shawl. It’s a sur­prise gift for her, that I’m sure she’ll love. I just hope I get it fin­ished while it’s still cold enough to wear!

I decided to make it with Home­spun yarn from Lion Brand. It’s a very pretty color called RANCH. Odd name, cuz it looks more like Desert to me, LOL!
